Olympic Forum

The Olympics are the world's greatest competition of general sporting prowess.
What are the issues that need to be resolved to ensure the sound development of this movement?
What is the best way to create an environment for the promotion of sports?
What form should the Olympics take in the 21st Century?

The Olympic Forum was launched in 1996 in order to promote the Olympic Spirit and contribute to the Olympic Movement while discussing related topics. It was launched under the co-sponsorship of Nihon Keizai Shimbun Incorporated and with the backing of the International Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

The contents of the Olympic Forum, which is an open symposium for examining the Olympics from a variety of viewpoints, are compiled in a special article in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper for wider public access. This forum attracts a great deal of attention from related officials and even members of the general public.
